Orval Warren Karlen

Orval Warren Karlen, 70, of Maineville, Ohio, died Saturday, October 3, 2021, at his residence.

Services will be Friday at 11 am at Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Rev. James Lance officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.   Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Kimberly Karlen.

Warren was born March 18, 1951, in Elkins, WV to Cecil O. and Ruby {Bazzle} Karlen.

He married Kimberly Kern on November 25, 1977. Warren earned his BS in Industrial Engineering from The Ohio State University and his MBA from Xavier University and worked as an engineer in multiple industries during his professional career.  In retirement he worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement in South Lebanon, Ohio.  He enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, reading, and was passionate in Boy Scouts and youth sports with his children.

Warren will be deeply missed by his children Eric (Nicole) Karlen and Jason (Cati Molnar) Karlen all of Illinois; grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, and Connor; brother Randall Karlen of Shreve and sister Donnetta Snyder of Marshallville.

Warren was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
