Roy Flickinger

Roy Ernest Flickinger, 94, of Wooster, died Friday, June 12, 2020 at The Avenue.

Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Roy was born February 15, 1926 in Wooster to Ira L. and Desiee {Miller} Flickinger.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He married Donna Howman on October 14, 1951.

Roy retired from Frito Lay after 45 years. He was a member of Moreland Methodist Church and Oddfellows Lodge. Roy enjoyed traveling, fishing, bowling, and spending time on his boat.

Roy will be deeply missed by his wife of 68 years; sons Dale (Rebecca) of Dalton, Robert of Washington D.C., and Alan (Lavonne) of Wooster; grandchildren Chad (Adrianne), Eric (Rhoda), and Scott (Brittany) Flickinger; great-grandchildren Alex, Samantha, Hannah, Emma, Kate, and Chase

Roy was preceded in death by his two brothers, Dean and Paul.
