- About Us
I would like to thank Tom Cropp, Funeral Director - Mount Vernon Chapel, for his kind assistance. He made sure that the flowers for a funeral only 12 hours away were delivered on time the next day. In fact, he went above and beyond, including answering an after-hours call and sending pictures of the flowers. His help was much appreciated.
I would like to thank Tom for his good customer service by going above and beyond. He took time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to accommodate me by getting my flowers delivered. He was very kind and caring.
I would to thank Tom Cropp and his staff at the Mount Vernon, Ohio Roberts Funeral Home for their excellent care and compassion during the loss of my husband who died April 25, 2020. We were unable to have a regular viewing and service; however, Tom was able to guide us and had helpful suggestions that we were able to use. He even came in on Sunday to meet with us to plan a viewing for a few people at selected times. We held my husband's Memorial Service on what would have been our 55th wedding anniversary, which was Tom's suggestion. Tom's gentle guidance, caring, compassion and sensitivity to what we wanted was way above and beyond and it ended up very beautiful and peaceful. I count Tom as a dear friend who helped me and my family through a very difficult time.
I am so appreciative for the friendly, helpful, compassionate and professional care that I and my family received from Roberts Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon Chapel. I want to thank Tom Cropp, Funeral Director for his attention to every detail and how understanding he was during this most difficult time.
With my husband's death our family experienced a very unexpected and sudden period of decision making. Thankfully I was already acquainted with all three of the Roberts brothers and knew we would be treated with the utmost respect and dignity in our decision making under stress.
From the first call and visit to the last, tears and laughter, advising and reflecting.....our sons along with me were put at ease and a sense of comfort knowing our husband and father was respected by all whose hands he passed after he took his last breath.
We loved the process of picking out photos and music for his video tribute, how to honor him at our son's wedding 7 days later and finally encouraging us to celebrate his life sooner than later at an outdoor venue where he left his mark on the community where we live.
Heartfelt thank you's to the Roberts family for their genuine compassion...mixed in with some good humor and kindness, we were able to get through the first month with their help.
I can hardly express how grateful I am to Tom at the Mount Vernon Roberts Funeral Home for the wonderful care he took of my mom who has passed but also of our whole family. He went way above and beyond to make sure every detail was done exactly as my mom would have wanted it.
Thank you so much Tom for your heartfelt compassion during this difficult time.
My family and I were so grateful for the compassion and support provided by Roberts Funeral Home. Everyone there is so genuine and caring, and they made sure that everything was just right. They are just the best people to help you get through your worst time.
I wanted to thank Roberts Funeral Home and Ashley for a beautiful experience working with them after my grandmother’s passing. It was such a difficult time, and Ashley was helpful and compassionate through every single interaction. We are so grateful that we chose Roberts, and cannot imagine the process going any better. What you do makes a challenging time a little bit easier, as if we had a helpful family member at our side throughout. Thank you so much.
I'd like to thank Mount Vernon, Ohio’s Roberts Funeral Home and especially the director Tom and their staff for the guidance and care they gave our family while planning our step father’s funeral. He worked with our mother, who is 95, in planning the perfect funeral for the love of her life. She wanted a small funeral, private ceremony and Tom helped guide her to allow family members who she needed to help her through the grieving process. There was no push, he helped our mother see the importance of family filled in a room full of love. Thank you Tom for your gentle guidance and expertise.
Such a heartfelt experience during a sorrowful time.
Roberts Funeral Home took good care of us after we had to transfer from a different funeral home. They made us feel welcome and made the transition easy. Tom went above and beyond to assure that we would be happy with their services. We thank you all again, but especially Tom for taking good care of us.
I want to add my testimony that the folks at Wooster Roberts Funeral Home were so thoughtful and efficient in handling our needs. This was so appreciated and comforting in our time of loss. We will never forget their care in handling all the arrangements and answering all our concerns for our loved one. As someone has said, these are the kindnesses given to us from our Lord and Savior through His servants in our time of need. Thank you Tom for all the help and phone calls. I could not have managed this without your guidance.
We are so thankful we had my grandfather's funeral at Roberts. They helped us every step of the way. They were patient, and kind. Matt went out of his way to make sure it was exactly what we envisioned and it ended up beautiful. Thank you for all of your help, you were amazing.
I'm not sure I can be as eloquent as some of the testimonials that have already been given. Roberts Funeral Home was so kind and compassionate during a very emotional and sad time for our family. Matt's guidance and patience was appreciated so very much and we can't thank him enough.
Thank you very much for the way you talked with us yesterday. The kids mentioned how good you are at what you do, when you do this day in and day out. You were very warm, comforting and helpful. It is evident that you and your staff care very much about the families you serve. I also wanted to remark on how good (he) looked. He really did look just like he was sleeping. Thank you.
Not too long ago a family member of mine passed away. In the midst of hurt, disappointment and trials I was comforted and encouraged by the staff of Roberts Funeral Home. They tenderly walked us through the bereavement process and graciously helped us in a time of need.
I am confident they will do the same for you. There is no one better than Roberts. This is no mere business; it is a ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ. The Roberts staff is well trained and equipped in helping all those who are walking through the valley of the shadow of death. I never thought, losing a loved one would mean gaining more people who care about the concerns and needs of my family. At Roberts Funeral Home I felt like we were all family and I am forever grateful for a place like this.
There comes a time in everyone's life when they need the services of a funeral home. It is an overwhelmingly sad time and decisions are difficult. On more than one occasion, I have needed these services. Even though there are several funeral homes in my area, and Roberts Funeral Home is more than an hour away, I would not consider using anyone else. I am so impressed with the level of kindness, caring and gentleness they provide. The staff is professional yet compassionate. If you have the need for a funeral home, do not hesitate to contact Roberts Funeral Home in Wooster. You will be impressed with their kindness as I am.
When my aunt passed away, the Roberts Funeral Home Family stepped right in to help us during our time of loss and helped ease our sadness. Their caring and sensitive approach helped us with making difficult decisions as we began this emotional journey down a road with which we were unfamiliar. Their personal touch and support made a huge difference in helping us fulfill my aunt’s wishes. We appreciated their wise counsel during our special time of need.
I want to thank you for making this experience easier than I expected. It truly is a relief to us. Thank you for taking the time and care to make Dad's appearance so much better. It was a relief for me and blessing for my brother. He really needed that.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
