Brian Bradford

April 4, 1925 — September 24, 2010



Brian R. Bradford, 85, of Wooster, went home to be with The Lord Friday September 24, 2010 at West View Manor in Wooster. Funeral services will Tuesday be at 11 AM at Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Phipps officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Brian was born April 4, 1925 in Racine, Ohio to Otto and Lottie (Rose) Bradford.He married Donna Forsch on October 23, 1948. She died February 2, 2008.


Brian was a U. S. Navy Veteran in WWII where he served as a Signalman First Class on the USS Argonne in the Pacific Theater and a past commander of American Legion Post 68 in Wooster.He loved life aboard ships and was an avid ship watcher.He was a retired Railroad Block Opertator having worked for the Pennsylvania, PennCentral, Conrail and CSX railroads in that capacity for 35 years.Brian helped plan the Memorial Day parade in Wooster for the past 50 years.He was first and foremost a family man who adored spending time with his grandchildren.He was a kind and gentle man who will be sadly missed by all that knew him.


Brian will be deeply missed by his sons Brent E. Bradford of Ashland County, Barry R. Bradford of Columbus; grandchildren Alexandra and Cameron Bradford; two brothers Paul of Athens and Gail of Pomeroy.





In addition to his wife and parents Brian was preceded in death by a daughter in law Kelly and two brothers Clarence and Curtis.
