Claude Knight

April 9, 1917 — July 8, 2009

Claude “Charlie Brown” Knight, 92, of Wadsworth, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Wadsworth Pointe in Wadsworth. He was born April 9, 1917 in Holbrook, PA to Walter and Lillie (Porter) Knight. Claude was an employee of Morton Salt Company in Rittman retiring from there. He was a member of Wadsworth VFW and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He enjoyed woodworking and the building trade.





Claude will be deeply missed by his son Larry (Denise) of Canton, grandchildren Angela (Robert) Eichholtz, Michael (Jessica) Knight, Kristofer Chadwell, Kari Moreland, great-grandchildren Tyler Eichholtz, Savannah Knight, Chase Chadwell, Ally, Abby, Hannah, Olivia, and Lily Moreland, significant others Louise Nice and Hallie Knight, and sister-in-law Frances Knight. An infant grandson, four brothers and two sisters preceded him.





Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville, with Pastor Dan Peyton officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
