Donna was born August 4, 1932 in Ashland, the daughter of Leroy and Nellie Mae (Myers) Howman.
OnMay 7, 1949 she married Donald D. Sloan, who survives.
She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.Donna worked at JcPenney’s and Ashland City Schools, in which she retired.She enjoyed baking, collecting recipes, going to garage sales, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.Donna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 88.
Donna will be deeply missed by her husband, her sons; Doug (Helen) Sloan of Ashland, Dan (Carol) Sloan of Loudonville and Dennis Sloan (Lori Myers), also of Ashland, her grandchildren; Dusty, Casey, Jessica Abel, Clint, Justin, and Jamison Sloan, her six great-grandchildren, brothers; Delbert (Sue) Howman, Guy (Vicki) Howman both of Ashland and Roger (Becky) Howman of South Carolina.
Donna was preceded in death by her brothers; Harold, Wade, Cloyd, Dale, Frank and Warren Howman, her sisters; Evelyn Simpson, Bernice Grissinger, andtwo infant sisters.
Funeral services will beWednesday, September 22 , 2010 at 11:00 a. m. at the Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US Rte 250 W. Ashland, OH, with Pastor Mark Abel (grandson in-law) officiating.Entombment will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
