Doyle Blake

Doyle Blake, 88, of Barberton, went home to his Lord on Monday, June 14, at Barberton Manor Care. He was born October 7, 1921 in Orlando, West Virginia to Andrew Adam and Vesta Susan (Clark) Blake. He married Helen Elizabeth Kaloskie on November 1, 1941. Doyle was employed with Babcock & Wilcox for 18 years, retiring in 1984. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of Calvary Gospel Tabernacle and enjoyed working on cars: he was the family mechanic. Doyle loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.



Doyle will be deeply missed by his wife of 68 years, Helen, sons, Bill (Clara) and Bob (Joyce) Blake Sr. all of Barberton, 8, grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother Donald (Eileen) Blake of Barberton and sister Hazel J. Blake of Weston, W. VA. He was preceded in death by his son Richard Doyle Blake, brothers Gaylord, Lloyd, Clarence and Dale Blake, sisters Jeanette Smith and Agnes Belt.



Services will be at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel on Friday at 2:00 P.M. with grandson, Mike Blake, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 to 2 on Friday. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com .
