Mabel Cummings, 82 formerly of Hamlin, WV, went home to be with the Lord ?Monday, January 15, 2007 at Smithville Western Care Center. ?Graveside services will be Thursday at 11am at Hamlin Cemetery in Hamlin, WV with the Rev. Mabel was born March 31, 1924 in Branchland, WV to Henry and Myrtle (Swanson) Hodge. ?She married Eugene Cummings on January 23, 1951.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Hamlin Baptist Church. ?Mabel loved animals and they loved her. ?She will be deeply missed.
Surviving are brothers Ishmel (Lula) Hodge of Milton, West Virginia and Charles Billy (Phyllis) Hodge of Wooster.
Mabel was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene and Donald and sisters Orpha Frye and Normal Roy.
