Raymond Stark

Raymond LeRoy Stark, 81, of Wadsworth, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Hospice of Medina County Out Patient Facility in Medina. He was born December 8, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio to Roy and Katherine (Hare) Stark and married Martha M. Muich on May 21, 1956. Martha preceded Ray in death on January 19. 2011. Raymond served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had been an employee of Goodyear for many years before his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a man of few words.


Raymond will be deeply missed by his daughter, Amelia (Richard) Smith of Atwater, grandson, Brian Smith of Dayton, brother, Bill Stark of AL, sisters, Catherine Cochrane and Betty Showalter, both of PA. Sally (Jim) Irwin of MD. and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Martha, Raymond was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Leo Stark and a sister, Helen Rankin.


Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville, with Rev. Richard Smith, LPCC officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
