Roger J. Benchoff, 71, of Mt. Eaton, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Doctors Hospital in Massillon. ?Services will be Thursday at 2:00PM at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. ?Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery where military rites will be held. ?Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home. ?Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.

He was born February 4, 1935, Rittman to Guy E. and Mary (Killough) Benchoff. ?
He graduated from Doylestown High School in 1953 he then served in the U.S. Army. ?
He worked for Dunlap Hospital for 31 years, retiring as the Vice President of Finance. ?He was a member of the Wilderness Center and enjoyed exercising, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are sons David (Laurie) Benchoff of Ashland, Mark Benchoff of Lexington, Kentucky and Roger Benchoff II of Mt. Eaton, grandchildren Roger III, Jeannette, Karl, Kurt and Christina Benchoff, brothers Guy Jr. (Eula) Benchoff of Doylestown, Karl (Katie) Benchoff of Wooster, Pat (Margaret) Benchoff of Wooster, and sisters Betty Bechtel of Wooster, Joy Neugebauer of West Minster, California, Virginia (Marvin) Frase of Doylestown, Evelyn Garnes of Norton, Marilyn (Kenneth) Zimmerly of Wooster.
In addition to his parents, brothers Donald and Dale Benchoff died previously.
