Royce (Roy) E. Brinker, 62, Nova, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Akron City Hospital. ?
Mr. Brinker was born April 6, 1944, in Lodi, OH, the son of Rice L. and Luella May (Carter) Brinker.
He married Beverly June Whitmore on July 7, 1964. ?She survives.
Mr. Brinker was employed at Hydromatic Pump where he served as a UAW union steward. He retired after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Yesteryear Club.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Beverly, is one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Melissa Brinker of Ashland, and one daughter, Teresa Smith of Nova; six grandchildren, Justin, Brad, Brittany, Ashley, and Tyler Brinker and Tom Smith, all at home; one brother, Walter Brinker of Ashland, three sisters, Marcella Pryor of Rowsburg, Shirley Lindsey of Ashland, and Bernice Littleton of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter; and two brothers; Harry Brinker and Elmer Brinker.
Services will be held on Thursday June 1, 2006, 2:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 U.S. 250 North, Ashland, with Rev. Ben Roby officiating. ?Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park. ?Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Funeral Home.
The family suggests that Memorial Contributions be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Rd. 1095, Ashland, OH 44805.
