Thomas Wellman

Thomas “Tom” Lee Wellman, 82, of Wadsworth, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Hospice at The Inn in Medina. Tom was born March 24, 1927 in Fort Gay to Clarence and Vangie (Thompson) Wellman. He married Laura Goda on May 8, 1957.


Tom retired from PPG Industries in Barberton after working there for 35 years and he served in the Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed golfing, archery, bow making and fishing. He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Barberton.




Tom will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Laura, children Thomas (Vicky) Wellman, Jr, Lora (Buster) Swallows, Kimberly (Kevin) Keith, grandsons Caleb (Dreya) Wellman, Zach (Angel) Wellman, Micah (Beth) Wellman, Michael (Kelly) Taylor, and Cody Wellman.


Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. at Roberts Funeral Home – Hillcrest Chapel, Seville, with Brother Rod Pamer and Bishop Pamer officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior at the funeral home. Online tributes may be made at
