Bertha M. Tyson, 86, ofWooster, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at West View Manor in Wooster.Private services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens following the service.

Bertha was born March 5, 1922 in Chester Twp., Wayne County, Ohio to Neal and Ella (Daugherty) McAfee.She married Harvey D. Tyson on February 4, 1938.He passed away in 1979.
She was a live-in caregiver for 16 years.Bertha retired in 1996. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and taking care of an elderly lady in Wooster, 24 hours a day, for 10 years.She loved being at home and spending time with her family.
Bertha will be deeply missed by her children Bonnie (Charles) Malcuit of Fredericksburg, Shirley Henderson and Kenneth (Carol) Tyson all of Wooster, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bertha was preceded by two sisters, Pearl Messner and Grace Foster.
