Dorothy Savage

Dorothy Ellen Savage, 80, of Ashland, died November 29, 2006, at Mansfield Triumph Hospital after a long illness. ?She was born April 21, 1926, in McClellantown, Penn., the daughter of Earl Wright and Ellen R. (Lewis) Wright who preceded her in death. ?Dorothy attended the Salvation Army, loved to collect angels, and was a homemaker. ?She married John A. Savage on Sept. 13, 1945, who preceded her in death. ?She is survived by nine children: Ellen Marie Boyd (Sam LaRue) of Ashland, Roy Wright, Brenda (Terry) Gorby, and Raymond Savage all of Fruitland Park, Fla., Billy (Jan) Savage of Leesburg, Fla., Jack (Barbara) Savage of Bradentown, Fla., Barbara (Larry) Kicklighter of Nicholls, Georgia, Shirly (Butch) Hayes and Richard Savage both of Longwood, Fla., 31 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. ?She is also survived by one brother William (Karolyn) Wright of Ashland. ?In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy is preceded in death by brothers Walt Wright, Jim Wright, Earl Wright, Elmer Wright, and sister Sally Storey. ?Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3, at Roberts Funeral Home in Ashland at 4:00 p.m. ?Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park on Monday, Dec. 4 at 10:00 a.m. ?Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. ?The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army.
