Elmer Wasko

Elmer J. Wasko, 87, of Wadsworth, passed away Wednesday, December 29 at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. He was born September 21, 1923 in Duquesne, Pa. to Elmer and Mary (Kiss) Wasko and married Patricia P. Root on September 15, 1951. Elmer served in the US Army in WWII, held a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and retired from Goodyear, where he traveled extensively. ? He enjoyed crusin' the countryside, golfing and loved spending time with his family.



Elmer will be deeply missed by his wife, Patricia, children Nancy (Ed) Rooks of Wadsworth, Bob Wasko of Copley Township, grandchildren Brian and Chris Rooks and sister Lillian Sether. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James Wasko, and George Jacobs and sister Lucille Metz.



Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held. Friends may call Wednesday from 12-1 pm at the funeral home.
