G. Carlton Best, 77, of Wooster, died Monday November 28, 2005 at his residence.
Services will be Saturday December 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 246 N. Market St., Wooster, with Rev. Ermon French officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
He was born April 4, 1928 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania to Harry and Lelia Best. ?He married Ella Aten on August 7, 1954. ?She preceded him in death on November 15, 2005.
He worked for Mt. Eaton Mining and Equipment, retiring in 1991. ?He was a member of the First Baptist Church. ?He also loved to raise and ride horses as well as care for other animals.
Surviving are sons Kent Best and Kevin (Nancy) Best both of Wooster, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, a brother Jimmy (Ann) Rogers of West Nicholson, Pennsylvania and a sister Shirley Von Stork of Justice, Pennsylvania.
A brother Leslie Akerley died previously.
