James Butler Cool, 90, of Wooster, died Wednesday at West View Manor.
A service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, in LaGrange, IN.

James was born March 21, 1922 in Salem Center, IN to Grover and Emily {Butler} Cool.
He graduated from Ball State with a Bachelors degree in Art. He was a radio operator in World War II.
He married Rosemary Hollipeter in December 1947.
He was an art teacher. He was a member of the Wooster Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed horses and loved reading.
James will be deeply missed by his children Steven Cool of Clinton, Becky Cool of Columbus; granddaughters Patti Thompson, Ashley Keenan; great-grandchildren Kimberly and Kaitlyn Thompson, Aubrey Keenan.
James was preceded in death by his wife.
