James Mottle
August 8, 1924 — March 8, 2009
James Mottle, 84, of Wooster died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at BrennField Nursing Home in Orrville. Services will be at Thursday at 11:00AM at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Rev. Randall L. Gehres officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00PM to 8:00PMat the funeral home. James was born August 8, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Antonia (Vaurick) Mottle. He married Hazel (Faw) Mottle on September 5, 1953. She died in January 16, 1999.
He retired from Rexroth, Inc. after 47 years of service. He was a member of the Orrville Church of Christ and enjoyed softball, dancing, playing cards and taking special trips.
James will be deeply missed by his children Joseph A. (Debra) Mottle, Carolyn (Charles) Kennedy and Robert J. Mottle and fiancé Sylvia all of Wooster, Christy (Gordon) Gant of Morristown, Indiana, and Janice (Glenn) Beck of Creston, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and special friend Helen Brown.
In addition to his wife Hazel, his daughter Linda Craig, a brother Joseph Mottle and a sister Marie Mottle preceded James.
