Julius “Bud” W. Giet, 73, of Wooster died Monday, February 23, 2009 at his residence. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M at Roberts Funeral Home- Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com

Bud was born September 4, 1935 in Sterling, Ohio to Gustave Sr. and Ella Marie (Whitman) Giet. He graduated from High School in 1960. He married Martha Easton on September 10, 1960. He worked at Eckert Bros., Inc. in Sugarcreek as a salesman, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Bud will be deeply missed by his wife and children Virginia (Dan) Widmer of Sterling, Susan (Jim) Campbell of Wooster and John (Terry) Giet of Shreve, grandchildren Robert, Angela (Scott), Polly, Neil, Brian, Tommy, Emily and Mikey, brothers Alvin Giet of South Carolina, Gustave Giet, Jr. of Ashland and Carl Giet of Stow, sisters Margaret Hile of Wooster and Lucille Hostetler of Creston.
Bud was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Giet and his parents.
