Lendon Kessinger

Lendon E. Kessinger, 77, of Big Prairie, died Thursday July 5, 2007 at his home. ?Services will be Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 3:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel with Pastor Chris Troupe officiating. ?Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. ?Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Lendon was born June 21, 1930 in Gilstrap, Kentucky to John and Sophia (Taylor) Kessinger. ?He married Beulah Torrence in 1960. ?She died June 16, 1993.

He worked at Regal Ware and ?Astro Metallurgical from which he retired from in 1995. ?He was a member of the Nold Avenue Baptist Church in Wooster. ?He loved gardening, telling stories, being around people, Nascar and wrestling.

Lendon will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Surviving is a brother Otis (Nova) Kessinger of Gilstrap, Kentucky and a sister Aster Daugherty of Cromwell, Kentucky.

Lendon was preceded in death by brothers Pirtle, Odist, Theron, Cecil and Oscar and sisters Edna Flener and Ollie Evans.
