Richard A. "Dick" Arner, 61, of Apple Creek, died Thursday, December 08, 2005 at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville. ?Services will be Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel. ?Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

He was born April 8, 1944 in Canton, Ohio to Paul and Dorothy Arner. ?He married Helen Harrison. ?She died in 2000. ?He then married Patsy Tomblin on April 5, 2002. ?She survives.
He worked for Buckeye Security at the DRC. ?He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and playing cards.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son Johnnie Arner of Canton, ?stepchildren Melanie Bigley of Big Prairie, Lynn (Dean) Catherman of Apple Creek, Gordon (Christy) Gant Jr. of Morristown, Indiana, Danny (Cathy) Gant of Van Wert, Indiana and Tammy Nowell of Akron, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his mother of Canton and a brother David Arner also of Canton.
His father died previously.
