Velma Odessa Sims, 87, of Galion, formerly of Wadsworth, died Friday, October 8, 2010 in Galion.
Memorial services will be held at David & Maddi Sims residence on Saturday, October 16. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com .
Velma was born April 19, 1923 in Orgas, WV to Alva Clarence and Nora {Hancock} Atkins. She married Robert L. Sims who preceded her in deathon October 20, 2000. Velma worked for a nursing home in Wadsworth for many years.
She is survived by her children Gary (Winnie) Sims of Texas, Stan Sims of Galion, Dave (Maddi) Sims of Galion, and Tammy (Theo) Dousis ofTexas; 9 grandchildren; and11 great-grandchildren.
